Partnership work programme 2016/2017

Partnership work programme 2016/2017
The Paris Urbanism Agency’s 2016/2017 partnership programme is committed to continuing the work already underway and supports the policies of Paris and the metropolis. The work on the database continues all year round; some studies requiring two or three years work have been in progress since 2015 or will be extended into 2017.
Three major objectives:
  • Make databases, which are updated and expanded every year, available to everyone and hold forward-looking discussions concerning all public policies affecting the Parisian and metropolitan territories;
  • Play a guiding and publicising role concerning the competency of the future metropolis as defined in the text of the Maptam and NOTRe laws and in support of new inter-territorial dynamics;
  • Affirm the importance of how Apur can serve as a platform and also bring together all the key players in Paris and the metropolis, technical associations, public institutions, collectivities, territories and citizens.
The work has been collected in 4 volumes:
Volume 1, databases and analytic cartographies of the territory, form the basis of the Agency’s production. Topics are studied over the long term in order to be sure of the reliability of the information delivered. It is essential to update this information and the additional data contributes to forward-looking discussions and future studies. These sources of information are largely available in the form of open data and data visualisation.
Volume 2, observatories, studies and workshops, are based on the groundwork described above. 8 subjects have been selected for 2016 each of which will develop observatories, studies of varying lengths and use methods appropriate to the chosen subjects in conjunction with our partners.
Volume 3, decentralised co-operation and the support of Paris for the international community
Volume 4, publications, documentation and communication, brings together everything connected to internal distribution, distribution to our partners and to the wider public.  2016 will be the year when we develop a new website, celebrate Apur’s 50th anniversary and move to new premises in preparation for 2017.
This programme, voted in by the General Assembly on December 9, 2015, was formulated by the programme committee which was set up when the number of our affiliated partners increased. All the partners asked Apur to make its work more widely available and provide assistance when accessing its database. An exchange platform will be set up for each study topic allowing the experience of every participant to enrich the dialogue. A number of our projects will be implemented in conjunction with the Ile-de-France Development and Urbanism Institute (IAU-IdF) and the Ile-de-France Regional and Interdepartmental Department of Infrastructure and Development (DRIEA), and all the affiliated partners will be involved in group projects of their choice.
