The City of Paris and 30 local authorities of its urban agglomeration are together launching the self service car hire project named Autolib.
As from autumn 2011 it will propose around 3000 vehicles, spread among 700 pick up points within Paris and 300 in the inner suburbs.
The City of Paris appointed Apur to study and propose specific locations for these points on Parisian territory (approximately 500 at street level and 200 in car park systems as well as for the 80 municipalities which have expressed interest in the facility. These elements, worked out in 2008 and 2009, have been integrated into the terms and conditions of the public services delegation currently in process.
The study of setting up the facility in the inner suburbs has been carried out in cooperation with the local authorities concerned.
