Public transport is offering a more abundant service, with the building of new tramway lines becoming a reality, and gradually forming a network. In the present climate, it is important to think about the integration of the logistical links of this new network, to test its capacity to carry goods, reconsider the rolling stock, containers and the passenger/goods equation, terminals, links between different networks…

The TramFret project has brought together a group of public and private participating bodies around the setting up of an experimental tramway network for goods transport by the end of 2010.

This document will give a report on work completed by the end of 2010 concerning this 3-year project.
