The Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre - the site's presentation file

Situated alongside the Boulevard des Maréchaux, on a site at one of Paris' most celebrated access points, the Porte de Versailles Exhibition Centre is an emblematic Parisian facility. It is the leading European exhibition centre by the number of events it hosts, with 7 million visitors per year.

It is essential to preserve the strong position of the site, particularly at a European level, where large competitive European sites have for many years invested a great deal in developing or modernising their infrastructures, thus reinforcing their hosting capacity of large European and international events. Reflection on the future of the exhibition centre also needs to consider the significant evolution  of the urban and metropolitan environment at the Porte de Versaille underway, which is particularly effected by the Tour Triangle project.
The City of Paris has therefore decided to upgrade the exhibition centre and develop its functionality so as to contribute to the urban transformation and architectural redefinition of the Porte de Versaille district and the creation of new links between Paris, Vanves and Issy-les-Moulineaux. It should also become an emblem of Paris' commitment to developing a sustainable city, through its energy efficiency and mastery of its impact on the environment.
To address these objectives, during the summer of 2012, the City of Paris launched a call for candidates for the attribution of tenure of the Exhibition Centre. In this context Apur produced a presentation file of the site which describes the present situation of the centre, its urban context and the transformations to come.
