The map show the real (final) energy consumption per capita of residential buildings, all uses included (heating, hot water, cooking, lighting, electrically run appliances) in Grand Paris Metropolis in 2020.
There is a great diversity of situations within Grand Paris, with levels of consumption per capita ranging from 2,000 kWh to 10,000 kWh per year depending on the neighbourhood. This can be explained by factors such as the size of dwellings, the type of construction, the type of heating system but above all the income of inhabitants which largely determines their behaviour (temperature chosen and heating period).
