375 sustainable food sales outlets have been listed in Paris in the commercial database (BDCom) as well as 120 collection points for direct farm sales baskets of sustainable food. Reinforced by the Covid-19 health crisis and new modes of consumption, the sustainable food sector is flourishing. Areas lacking supplies have tended to decrease going from 43% of the territory to 39% in 3 years.
In the context of its sustainable food strategy, the City of Paris is pursuing the objective of generalising the use of sustainable food in all collective catering, developing the commercial activity and structuring the short-circuit supply chain from producer to consumer.
