Launched in 2024 by the Maison de l’architecture Ile-de-France, in partnership with Librairie Volume, Traversée in 5 Books on Architecture is a series of events centered around a collection of books that narrate, analyze, and envision architecture and the city. It is a journey through works of various genres (fiction, theoretical texts, manifestos, research works, etc.) by authors with diverse backgrounds (architects, researchers, writers, urban planners, anthropologists, sociologists, historians, etc.).
The common thread linking these five books is the period in which they were published, which directly or indirectly reflects the questions, anxieties, and concerns of a given era.
The 7th edition of Traversée: 5 Books on Architecture will take place on Tuesday, April 14, at 7:00 p.m. at the Maison de l’architecture Ile-de-France, featuring:
