This map shows the evolution in the number of deaths per municipality of residence between 2019 and 2020 during the period from 2nd March to 10th May, which enables one to be aware of the differences of excess mortality at a municipal level.
Since the beginning of the health crisis, INSEE has regularly published the number of deaths per day (all causes included) based on the civil status file.
Over this period the additional deaths recorded show a rise of 81% in Paris, 91% in the Greater Paris - Grand Paris Metropolis - and 83% in Ile-de-France.
