Access to the application

The interactive tool “The commercial structure and its development” enables users to consult commercial files district by district.

The district files presented come from the data bank on commerce (BDCOM), the survey of Parisian shops carried out in 2017 an initiative of the City of Paris, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Apur. This survey of all the ground floor premises of Parisian buildings was the 7th of its kind, previous ones being made in 2000, 2003, 2005, 2007, 2011 and 2014.

The files inform one about the commercial structures in each of the 20 Parisian districts, and classify the different types of businesses (food, non-food, restaurants and fast-food, commercial services, vacant premises, other types of premises) comparing them with each other. They reveal the main key figures (number of premises including commercial businesses, commercial density on 100 m of street, density for 1,000 inhabitants), and present the commercial development between 2000 and 2017 by type of commerce and by comparing those which are commercial outlets and commercial services.
