Apur has studied the evolution of how Ile-de-France inhabitants travel since 1976 (first Global Transport Survey - EGT) as well as the evolution of the mobility offer. As far as public transport is concerned, between 1976 and 2020, in addition to the creation of  RER lines, 51 km of metro lines (including the opening of line 14) and 128 km of tramway lines were put into service. This map shows the network that existed before 1976, and the sections put into service or labelled RER since 1976, distinguishing between the different types of service offered.
