This map shows the current situation of road traffic restriction zones ( Zone 30, 30 km/h roads, meeting zones and pedestrian streets) on a metropolitan scale, in April 2021.

Data comes from OpenStreetMap in a version consolidated by  Île-de-France Mobilités.

These various measures aim, in particular, to calm the traffic flow, to improve road safety, to reduce noise and air pollution, also to contribute to reducing the priority given to motorised vehicles in favour of other modes of transport. Indeed, by improving the cohabitation between different means of transport, these measures make it possible to envisage a rebalancing of the use of public space to the benefit of pedestrians and cyclists. The city thus becomes calmer and  so more conducive  to walking, more comfortable and more inclusive.
