The new interactive tool “Les Commerces à Paris (Shops and services in Paris)” allows users to discover the most recent data on Parisian shops and services with:

  • Files on each district presenting the commercial structure within each, specifying the types of establishment (food or non-food shop, restaurant, fast food, commercial service, vacant premises, other types of premises) giving a comparative with the Parisian average. These files provide the main key figures (number of commerces, density on 100m of street for 1,000 inhabitants), markets and commercial hubs present in districts that show how they have evolved over 20 years, between 2000 and 2020.
  • A dynamic map of the evolution of shops and services according to surveys carried out in 2003 and 2020 on around 80 types of establishment or groups of activity. The distribution of commercial outlets on the Parisian territory fluctuates from one survey to the other and the movements of openings and closures are shown in a chronological and fun way.
  • 2020 commercial data has been extracted on existing areas of operation (International Tourist Zones - ZTI, Priority neighbourhoods of the urban cohesion policy - QPV, Mixed Development Zones - ZAC…) alternatively areas can be defined according to the needs of the user.
