In the context of the 2010-2011 framework convention between CG 94 and Apur, Apur was given the forward looking task of reflecting and assessing the impact of creating an inter-modal hub at Pompadour on its urban territory. This task follows on from the partnership process begun by CG 94 in partnership with the municipalities concerned (Créteil, Choisy-le-Roi, Alfortville, Villeneuve-Saint-Georges, Valenton).
A study was carried out in 2010 to enable a forward looking diagnosis to be made. Apur presented the first elements of this on 20th January 2011.
The process continued in 2011 with CG 94 setting up two thematic workshop:
- Access and travel
- Urban development. These workshops brought together the different municipalities concerned by the territory and Apur. They were prepared and run by Apur.
The different steps taken in 2011 were :
- First workshop and field visit with representatives of the General Council and five municipalities : 24th March 2011
- Meeting with the Regional public transport union - STIF – and the Government Department of Roads
- Second workshop : 5th July 2011
- Meeting at the end of these events to review the situation and the future steps to be taken and to draft out the hypotheses to be followed: 13th December 2011
The present document forms a summary of the reflections undertaken. It illustrates the issues relevant to the two themes and recommends short and long term action to be taken .
