Missions
Since 2000, the commercial database, BDCom, has updated an inventory of Parisian commercial outlets every three years, using field surveys carried out on all Parisian streets. 9 such surveys have so far been carried out. The surveyed premises are on the ground floor of buildings, have a display window and visible access giving onto public space. Premises located in courtyards, if accessible, or in shopping malls are also taken into account. The last survey took place in April 2023. A detailed report on developments in commerce in Paris, for each district and for specific themes has been published in 2024.
How it works
The BDCom programme of activities is defined within the framework of an implementation agreement between the City of Paris, the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry - CCI, and Apur. The current agreement covers the period 2023-2024. Each year an amendment specifies the exact content of the work to be carried out. The job of producing and updating the database is entrusted to the Paris Urbanism Agency.
