Observatory of the social situation in Paris

A partnership approach to observing the social situation in Paris was launched in 2021 in the context of the health crisis. Regularly renewed, this assessment of the Parisian social situation is carried out by Apur in close collaboration with the City of Paris, AP-HP, Paris Habitat, Caf de Paris, Adil de Paris, the Mission Locale de Paris and the Samusocial de Paris. Its aim is to provide insight into current trends by identifying certain signs of fragility so that the focus on social needs is improved and preventive action can be taken.

With numerous public bodies and non-profit associations involved, which are active in the social fields in the Paris area, it combines many different sources of information: statistical and activity data (from the City of Paris, Caf de Paris, the Mission Locale de Paris, the Samusocial de Paris, the Banque de France etc.), the feedback of diverse social actors in direct contact with the public, both the general public and non-profit associations, gathered via a questionnaire and interviews (individual and collective exchanges), as well as documentation on other initiatives and the ongoing surveillance of articles, studies and work around social issues in Paris, the Metropolis and other regions.

This initiative has led to the publication of several studies and notes since 2021, which have contributed to the thinking behind the Paris Pact to Combat Exclusion (studies, in depth thematic notes, etc.) and brings about regular partnership exchanges.
