Apur wished to host two webinars, where various facets of a group reflection on the Parisian landscape, particularly addressing the impact of regulations on recent changes, are presented by its participants. This work, carried out in workshops enabling ideas to be exchanged, cross-references to be made and each specific approach to be enriched, contributes to drawing up an initial assessment of architectural, urban and landscape changes.
The architects André Lortie and Mathieu Mercuriali are invited to the first web seminar, the former to give his interpretation of the Parisian landscape using tools created by the land occupation plan (POS) and then the local urbanism plan (PLU), the latter, to make a detailed observation of architecture produced in the last fifteen years.
The second seminar give the floor to anthropologists Alessia de Biase and Piero Zanini who speak about landscape and what it represents for those who contemplate it. Finally, Apur review the history of how rules governing construction in Paris have evolved since the Middle Ages which have, as a result, shaped the Paris that we have inherited.
