Contribution to the 2022-2023 Master Plan for the Non-drinking Water Network
An account of workshops on the 8th October and 25th November 2021

The City of Paris and Apur organised two workshops during the autumn of 2021 in order to share the results of actions carried out in the context of the first Parisian Non-drinking Water Network Master Plan, and to enrich the direction taken by the second 2022-2034 Master Plan.

Paris City Council decided in 2012 to maintain and optimise the non-drinking water network and approved the first Master Plan for the uses of non-drinking water and its network in Paris in 2015 for the 2015-2020 period. In the autumn of 2021 a new Master Plan for the uses and network was being developed for the 2022-2034 period.

It is in this context that Apur, who has worked on the subject of non-drinking water since 2010, organised and hosted two workshops with the City of Paris, bringing together initially all  the departments of the City of Paris involved in the network, Eau de Paris and Apur. The following phase brought together representatives of civil society with the presence of the Parisian Water Observatory (OPE) and the association France Nature Environnement (FNE), representatives of neighbouring local authorities (Plaine Com¬mune, Est Ensemble) and Parisian bodies that use the network (social housing landlords, developers), as well as researchers. The aim of the workshops was both to share the initial assessment of actions carried out under the existing Master Plan and to provide input to enrich the direction of the next Master Plan.

This document forms a record of these workshops held on 8th October and 25th November 2021.

The new Master Plan for the 2022-2034 period was approved by the Paris City Council on 31st May 2022.
