This document is a first contribution giving information on the grouping of communes which today exist in the Parisian conurbation. This should continue to develop in accordance with the MAPAM law.
Apart from the elements concerning living and economic areas provided by the DRIEA the STIF, l’IAU IDF and the Devillers and Associates Agency, it has seemed relevant that we gather information on:
1. The present state of inter-communal municipal cooperation.
2. The state of other groupings already existing around projects or technical networks.
3. The geographical, physical and economic elements that characterize the territory.
Future territories will also depend on the specific fields of competence which they will be allotted and the coordination between the three levels of grading: the metropolis, territories and communes.
