Fight against social exclusion: summary of available figures

Fight against social exclusion: summary of available figures
As part of its work programme, Apur has contributed to the diagnosis shared by the key players (company CEOs, state representatives, elected representatives for Paris, associations, researchers, artists…) who were gathered together by the City of Paris with the aim of making its fight against social exclusion a major cause for action during this parliamentary session.
Dominique Alba, Executive Director of Apur, presented the slide show Fight against social exclusion: summary of available figures which is available to the general public.
The aim of this meeting was to share a diagnosis, on the basis of which three working groups will gather to discuss the following themes:
Warning:  nobody should be thrown onto the streets, therefore it is important to act early;
Intervention: being on the streets should not prevent people from accessing essential services and every person who expresses a desire to get off the streets should be supported and helped to do so;
Lasting rehabilitation: rehabilitation and access to basic rights should be shared objectives.
At the end of these three workshops, a Parisian Pact against Social exclusion - La Grande Exclusion-will be signed, representing a shared roadmap putting forward workable solutions for all the key players.
