The homeless populations in Paris: a territorial demography and presence with diverse and complex determining factors
Although the street is historically a masculine world and the image of a homeless person is a solitary man, it must be noted that the population in great socio-economic difficulty has evolved considerably over the last decade. The influx of migrants fleeing geopolitical contexts of war or economic or climatic crises have also profoundly changed the overall portrait of homeless people.
This note proposes a cartographic description of the main socio-geographical trends of homeless populations in Paris.  Alerts given in 2015 by the Homeless People Brigade (Bapsa) are described cartographically indicating places where these populations in great difficulty go. Alongside this, the note includes the offer of existing support systems (accommodation, day centres, social support and watch services).
