March 31 2016 – The economic fabric of the station neighbourhoods of the Grand Paris Metro Line 15 east – Prevalence of public services and manufacturing and support jobs

The economic fabric of the station neighbourhoods of the Grand Paris Metro Line
The future Grand Paris Express Line 15 will link Saint-Denis Pleyel to Champigny centre, that is to say twelve station neighbourhoods situated to the north-east of Paris.
There are 144,000 people employed at present in these neighbourhoods, of whom two thirds are concentrated in four neighbourhoods (Saint-Denis Pleyel, Stade de France, Bobigny Pablo Picasso and Val de Fontenay).
Four station neighbourhoods offer mostly public service jobs and three others jobs in light industry and support. Rosny Bois Perrier specialises in commercial jobs and local services, whereas Stade de France has a more significant number of employment opportunities in the professional sector. The highest number of executives work in Stade de France and Saint-Denis Pleyel.
Over the last fifteen years, these two neighbourhoods have also been the most dynamic in terms of construction, in particular of offices.
The Grand Paris Express will have a significant impact on the neighbourhoods which will accommodate these stations. An overview of their current economic fabric will make it possible to measure the dynamics of the future.
