In 2016, 7% of the Parisian population took part in the various City’s Participative Budget initiatives…
... 4% voted at the Paris Participatory Budget
Digital voters made up 49% of people voting. Over two-thirds (68%) of these voters were between 25 and 54 years old. The rate of participation was lower in western Parisian districts.
The projects submitted were distributed over the whole of the territory with the exception of the 7th, 8th and 16th districts which are characterised by their lower number of project propositions. 35% of submitted projects involve the living environment.
This note aims to define the profiles of the Parisians who participated in the Paris Participatory Budget. It is part of the follow-on of a publication which analyses the projects submitted in 2015: “Participatory Budget: What do Parisians dream of?”, published in 2016.
