... and to re-examine the numerous Coucil run, building and civil engineering operations still in preparation or already under way.

These new approaches are presented through a series of examples: the modifications of the “land-use plan” -POS- in the Mouffetard and faubourg Saint-Antoine districts, six public development projects. The first part widens the debate in an attempt to view this approach in the context of recent town-planning projects in Paris, and also considers the concepts of quartier or district and protection of heritage.
