Paris and Rome are twin cities, they are both two of the world’s richest capitals in historical monuments, districts and sites.
This special issue of the review Paris Projet publishes a collection of articles - all in French and Italian - highlighting aspects of a political approach that favours the preservation and enhancement of the heritage in each of the cities.
The Mayor of Rome, Ugo Vetere, and the Mayor of Paris, Jacques Chirac, have agreed to grant their patronage to this edition and to explain their views on the subject.
