Study of the regulatory and urban context of EPAURIF projects in the 5th, 6th, and 13th districts

Study of the regulatory and urban context of EPAURIF projects
The  EPAURIF (Île-de France Public Establishment for the Development of Universities) and Apur drew up an agreement for the years 2012 and 2013 with the aim of carrying out an investigation of the physical and functional interfaces between the university sites in Île-de-France affected by the development projects which EPAURIF monitor, and the urban dynamics of which they are a part.
The first part of the study, carried out in 2012, had a number of phases:
  • Verification by Apur and EPAURIF of the accuracy of data already gathered by Apur;
  • The gathering of forward-looking information by  EPAURIF (building programmes and project schedules underway or at the planning stage, general directions of plans in the more distant future) and the inclusion of these elements into a project database  compatible with that of Apur;
  • The integration of these data into a geographic information system (conversion and assembly into one or more GIS layers depending on the method to be defined by Apur and  EPAURIF);
  • The making of an automated file on each building on the project sites, identified by  EPAURIF as having priority need to be studied. These sites are located in the 5th 6th and 13th districts of Paris;
  • An overall study of the regulatory and urban  context in which these development projects are situated
