The 2010 Report from the Observatory of Priority Districts in Paris is the follow-up to the two previous editions published in 2006 and 2007. It provides some of the results observed three years after the implementation of the Urban Social Cohesion Contract or CUCS, which is to be extended until 2014.

It is a particularly appropriate time to take stock of the situation in these districts, as fine scale  data from the recent population census is now available.

The analysis reveals that the population in priority districts increased between the two last censuses at a faster rate than in the capital as a whole. Although there are positive developments, it shows that considerable differences still exist between these districts and the rest of  Paris, as seen in insecurity indicators .

In addition to the analysis of recent trends, the Report includes monographic notes for each district, a presentation of the main results of the CUCS 2007-2009 assessment and the summary of thematic studies on foreigners and young people in these districts.
