Paris Rouen Le Havre: a Cycle Path Project for 2020

Cycle Path Project for 2020
The Seine Valley Urbanism Agencies working in collaboration have brought out the study: “Cycle Path along the Banks of the Seine”.
This study reinforces the idea of the Cycle Path Project as an integrated project covering tourism, sustainable modes of transport, economic and urban development and also the conservation of the river’s ecosystem. It also contributes to the discussions concerning the route of the Cycle Path and puts forward some suggestions for the development of key sites.
The study is based on a transversal and inter-regional vision and underlines the advantages of the territory in terms of tourism, landscape and culture as well as the spin-off economic potential linked to the development of cycle tourism. How the Cycle Path can be merged with the existing transport system of the Valley is also examined.
Finally, the study includes the results of an analysis and evaluation of the Valley’s ecosystem, strengthening the role of the Cycle Path as a lever for its appreciation and preservation.
The study is the result of a collaboration between 5 urbanism agencies in the Seine Valley: AUCAME, AURH and AURBSE, IAU and APUR.
It is available on the Seine Valley website.
A few figures:
