International Conference “Urban Governance” - France, Thailand and Japan
The conference on “Urban Governance” aims to serve as an international, interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary platform looking at urban policy, urban space planning, databases and big data as concerns cities. It addresses a wide public made up of academics, practitioners, campaigners and students and will provide an opportunity to exchange opinions and give feedback on experiences in France, Thailand and Japan.
Olivier Richard, Geographer-Urbanist at Apur, will present “New challenges and new ways of thinking about public space”. He will discuss the role of public space in the development of more sustainable, resilient and inclusive cities using as an example the approach adopted in Paris during the project to redevelop 7 Parisian squares.
