Urban forms in Ile-de-France and green house gaz emission

How is the type of urbanisation on a territory partly responsible for our green house gas emissions? Do all the very heterogenous urban forms found in Ile-de-France contribute equally to global climate change?

This study addresses the case of twenty or so urban forms in Ile-de-France and puts forward an analysis of their performance in terms of green house gas emissions. It is part of the overall thinking and consideration presently taking place on how to divide by 4 the green house gaz emissions by 2050 in France. (“Factor 4”).
