In the Parisian conglomeration, one homeless person in three has a job
In the Parisian conglomeration, 31% of homeless people have a job, 36% are unemployed and the remaining third do not work. In the provinces, only one homeless person in five has a job.
They do low-grade jobs and have little job security. Half of homeless people in the Parisian conglomeration work part-time and two-fifths of those would like to work more. This situation affects women and foreigners most. Three in five unemployed homeless people have been so for more than two years and a quarter have no income. The way they attempt to find work does not lead to a job interview.
Study undertaken in collaboration with Insee-Ile-de-France.
