Workshop visit - Orly Rungis - Seine Amont: the Seine, backbone of metropolitan projects

têtière 142x114 - 32e rencontre nationale des agences d'urbanisme - visites

The Seine, backbone of the Orly Rungis - Seine Amont territory, is the site of several major projects which have already started to transform it in a sustainable way.

The questions are: How to reconcile the many metropolitan dimensions of the river and clear the way for a coherent approach towards projects,  to develop “with” the Seine rather than “against” it? How to maintain and reinforce the economic dynamism of the area and at the same time develop a real urban mix? How to re-establish ecological continuity on the scale of a large territory? Resilience or resistance, how to put into place strategies for vigorous development in face of the risk of flooding?

Organised by Apur (Paris Agency of Urbanism) in partnership with the EPA-ORSA (Orly Rungis – Seine Amont Public Development Establishment)

The detailed programme of the workshop can be seen on the French page.
