There are over 100 social housing bodies in Paris, but Paris Habitat, RIVP and Elogie-Siemp are the three main ones: between them they manage 68% of the Parisian social housing stock. Paris Habitat (the Public Housing Office) owns 109,425 social housing units as defined in the SRU (Solidarity and Urban Renewal) Law, that is 44% of social housing in Paris. A total of 9% of Parisian households are tenants of Paris Habitat. RIVP and  Elogie-Siemp (SEM) manage respectively nearly 45,000 and 15,000 dwellings as defined by the SRU Law. Immobilière 3F is the leading private landlord in Paris and their SRU social housing property consists of almost 12,000 units.
