This overview of the state of the canal banks covers the section running between the Parc de la Villette in Paris and the Park de la Poudrerie in Sevran.
It singles out five themes: the ground surface, vegetation, the projects connected to the banks of the Canal de l'Ourcq, the different configurations of the canal banks, access to the canal.
The study, which is in the process of being added to and validated by the canal authority, will improve understanding of the banks in terms of their short and long-term management.
It was drawn up in 2011 and is progressively integrating data from studies being carried out on biodiversity (2011-2012) and the canal authority's management plan for planting vegetation.
