Apur questionnaire on Building and Public Works (BTP) waste recovery platforms

In the context of its future study on establishing a circular economy for managing building and public works waste, Apur proposes a questionnaire destined for key players in the sector in order to understand better what is needed and to identify potential sites for constructing an efficient network in Grand Paris.

Within the framework of the 2024 Olympic and Paralympic convention and its partnership programme, Apur is carrying out a study on setting up a circular economy for the management of BTP waste alongside the City of Paris, Plaine Commune territories, Est Ensemble, Paris Terre d’Envol, Grand Paris Grand Est and the Department of Seine-Saint-Denis.

Major changes are underway throughout Ile-de-France : Grand Paris Express, the Olympic Games, housing construction and urban development in Grand Paris and ambitious plans for the energy renovation of buildings. The production of waste by construction work is becoming a serious challenge. It is a question of avoiding the saturation of existing waste disposal structures, the increase of traffic congestion, the flow of transportation of materials, and above all, avoiding the growing scarcity of certain materials like natural aggregates.

The aim of the study is to identify available land so that reuse and recycling platforms can be developed that englobe all activities of recovery and enhancement in the BTP sector. In the long term, this means creating an efficient network throughout Grand Paris.

A questionnaire has been put online to enable the analysis of the current and future needs of these platforms according to types of material, access and means of transport to sites, available surface areas, etc.

It is addressed on the one hand to managers of sites and companies receiving and treating such BTP waste. On the other hand, it targets suppliers of raw materials, construction companies, and other sectors of the management of emerging, circular economy platforms.

We invite you to answer the questionnaire before the 15 November so that we can understand your needs better and identify temporary or sustainable potential sites, where to establish future platforms adapted to the urban context, and where material deposits are located. The treatment of your responses will be carried out in November-December.
