The second volume of the public authorities’ Grand Paris Atlas, published by Paris Métropole with the participation of APUR and IAU-îdF, was released at the AMiF Salon. You can obtain this work at the inauguration of the Paris Metropole stand (n°E41-F41) at the AMIF Salon which opens at 11a.m on 12th April. A giant map of intercommunal urban unity on 1st January 2016 will be presented at the occasion.
This second collection of maps completes the first volume which, was published last January. It deals with the dynamics of the new intercommunal situation on 1st January 2016. The two volumes are the outcome of work carried out by the Paris Metropole group “Territorial Articulation”.
During their task of defining new territorial projects, public authority representatives asked Paris Metropole to develop further in a second volume: more detailed information of territorial dynamics at the communal level, in order to heighten their awareness and widen their thinking on the driving force of each intercommunality.
In order to link various levels of analysis data are given on a communal scale and maps are put under three headings:
1/ General maps giving an overall view of the institutional panorama and projects underway;
2/ Maps dealing with demographic and socio-economic aspects of the conurbation’s population;
3/ Maps indicating areas of employment, housing issues and local wealth.
