Atlas of places that reinforce innovation and entrepreneurship in the Greater Paris - Grand Paris Metropolis

Four years after the publication of the study “Innovation in Paris and Grand Paris Metropolis - Data on startups, places, methods” Apur has updated its Atlas of places that support innovation and entrepreneurship in Grand Paris Metropolis in the light of the new urban and societal issues linked to the health crisis.

The update of this study aims to map and document this ecosystem in 2021 with the support of thirty or so interviews.

The analysis highlights developments that have taken place since 2016 in three types of support places identified - co-working spaces, digital manufacturing workshops, incubators and accelerators and new places that could be identified with:

  • the characteristics of these places and new geographical locations;
  • places which have closed;
  • places at project stage;
  • networks and new cooperations;
  • the role of public territorial establishments;
  • and if possible, the initial effects of the health crisis.

As in 2016, the online publication of the study will be completed in mid-2021 via a data set corresponding to open data.
The framework of the study and its contents were presented and eniched by Apur’s partners during a work meeting on 17th December 2020
